Read it twice. The afterthought - wondering whether God is the ultimate algorithm or the one who breaks every machine we build x

That's a hard question, I'll keep it in mind :)

Perhaps, since an algorithm takes in inputs and transforms them into outputs,

i

God being the ultimate algorithm would imply that humans and everything else in the universe is the input.

In this case, God's omniscience and omnipotence determines the efficiency of God as an algorithm.

ii

Whereas if God is the one breaking our algorithms, then it would mean that God is the input.

And since God is so powerful/infinite/immovable, our algorithms probably cannot transform God unless God allows us to do so.

In this case, God's omnibenevolence determines the efficiency of our algorithms.

As always, you do a great job of bringing together, explaining, and discussing so many ideas as they relate to the text. Nice work.
